SCOURING PROCESS

Scouring process is a prepare process before the fabric will be continued process. The scouring process can be disappearing component of fiber compiler like oils, candle, grease, mucks, etc whom on fiber surface.

The reaction on this process by cotton with caustic (NaOH) is :

R – COO – H + NaOH ---> R – COO – Na + H2O

Ø Recipe :
1. Caustic 38˚Be = 10 cc/l, or
2. Crystal caustic = 4 -5 g/l
3. Tepol = 2 cc/l
4. Na₂CO₃ = 1 g/l
5. Volt of water = 1 : 30
6. Time = 1 – 2 hours
7. Temperature = 95˚C

Ø Fungtion of the chemical
1. Caustic = to changing the grease to be a soap which soluble in water
2. Water = to soluble the chemical
3. Na₂CO₃ = to soft the water
4. Tepol = to reduce stained of fabric surface

Ø Work manner
1. Prepare the materials and chemicals
2. Soluble the chemicals on beaker glass
3. Include the fabric into beaker glass
4. Heated the liquid until boil during 2 hours
5. Take the fabric from beaker glass after processed, press the fabric, warm washing, cold washing, and the last drying process

The chemicals used have to appropriate with water necessity. It is very important to stability of fabric.

PAD DRY DYEING PROCESS

There are two kind of Pad Dry Dyeing process, the former is One Step Pad Dry System and the letter is Two Step Pad Dry System. The fabric which used at pad dry dyeing process is TC’s fabric. TC’s fabric is fiber mixing from natural fiber and polymer fiber. So, the dyestuff which used is reaktif dyestuff and dispersi dyestuff. The dispersi dyestuff is good for dyeing polymer fiber like polyester fiber, because the character of dyestuff and the fiber is hydrofob. The method which used is thermos method (200˚C). The dyestuff will be one in the fabric by warming fabric at high temperature near melt point fabric. Be sides using reaktif and dispersi dyestuff, this dyeing system using pigment dyestuff too for Pad Dry Dyeing System one step method.

PAD DRY STEAM DYEING PROCESS

Pad dry steam dyeing process used to dyeing cotton fabric with reaktif dyestuff. The mechanism of it is as same as pad dry dyeing process, but the process of fixasi using wet steam.

cold pad batch dyeing process (CPB)

Cold Pad Batch is a process using pressure from pad roll and the fixation worked with batching by alkali. the fabric used is cotton has mercer processed and the dyestuff which used is reaktif dyestuff. the reaktif dyestuff is very good used to dyeing process fiber then the other dyestuff. because the reaktif dyestuff is not patch on the fabric, but it will reaction or be one with cotton fabric, so it is very difficult become discolored. the reaktif dyestuff which used by cold reaktif method, because the dyestuff have hight level
